Answer:

Let the numbers be x, y.

According to the question,

2x + 3y = 103 ...eqn(1)

4x = 7y+11

=> 4x - 7y = 11 .... Eqn(2)

Eqn(1) * 2 - eqn(2)

4x + 6y = 206

4x -7y = 11

========

13y = 195

y = 15 .

Substitute in eqn(1)

2x+3(15) = 103

2x + 45 = 103

2x = 103 - 45

2x = 58

x = 29 .

The numbers are 29 , 15

Solution :- 29 & 15

Let the first number is a & Second is b .

So ,

According to the question ,

2a + 3b = 103 ----------(1)

& 4a = 7b + 11

4a - 7b = 11 --------(2)

on multiplying the first eq. by 2

4a + 6b = 206 ------(3)

From equation (3) - eq.(2)

13b = 195

b = 15

then , 2a = 103 - 3(15)

2a = 103 - 45

2a = 58

a = 29

Thus , the numbers are 29 & 15 .
