concave mirror is used as reflector. ... It is used as a rear view mirror in vehicles. Drivers use convex mirror as rear view mirror because a convex mirror diverges the incident beam of light and always forms virtual, small and erect image between the pole and focus. Also convex mirrors provide a wider field of view.

(1) Concave mirrors are used by dentists to see an enlarged image of the tooth. (2) Concave mirrors are used as makeup or as shaving mirrors, to see an enlarged view of the face. (3)Concave mirrors are used by doctors ( ENT specialists) to focus light into ears ,throat etc . (4)Concave mirrors are used in reflector type telescopes.
