Radius of the circle = 8 cm

Diameter of the circle in which square is inscribed= Diagonal of square (refer to the attachment.

Diameter=2×8

=16 cm.

So , diagonal=16 cm

We know that, each angle of a square= 90°

applying PGT

diagnal^2 = side ^2 +side^2

16^2 =2side^2

256=2side^2

256/2=side^2

128=side^2

√2×2×2×2×2×2×2 =side

2×2×2√2 = side

8√2 = side

Area of the square = side^2

=(8√2)^2

=128 cm^2
