Answer:

8.75 cm²

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Radius = 3.5 cm and arc length = 3.5 cm.

(i)

We know that,

∴ Arc length = (θ/360) * 2πr

⇒ 3.5 = (θ/360) * 2π * 5

⇒ 3.5/5 = (θ/360) * 2π

⇒ 0.7/2π = (θ/360)

Now,

∴ Area of the sector = (θ/360) * πr²

                                 = (0.7/2π) * π(5)²

                                 = 17.5/2

                                  = 8.75

Therefore,

Area of the sector = 8.75 cm²

Hope it helps!

Given :

Radius of sector of circle = 5 cm

Arc length = 3.5 cm

To find :

Area of the sector

Solution :

We know, Arc length = (θ/360) × 2πr

=> 3.5 = (θ/360) × 2π × r

=> 3.5 = (θ/360) × 2π × 5

=> 3.5/5 = (θ/360) × 2π

=> 0.7/2π = (θ/360)

Now, area of sector = (θ/360) × πr²

=>  \dfrac{0.7}{2\pi}  \times \pi {(5)}^{2}

=>  \dfrac{0.7 \times 25}{2}

=> 17.5/2

=> 8.75

Answer :

Therefore area of sector is 8.75 cm²
