x² - x - 20 = 0

x² - 5x + 4x - 20 = 0

x( x - 5) + 4 (x - 5) = 0

(x+4)(x - 5) = 0

Here +ve value is taken because in the question the value of x is +ve.

Hence, x = 5

Substitute x value in equation (1).
