f = -18

1/f = 1/u - 1/v

1/v = 1/f - 1/u

1/v = 1/9 - 1/3

after solving

v = 2/9 CM

mirror formula = 1/v + 1/u = 1/f

= 1/v + 1/-9 = 1/-18

1/v = 1/-18 - 1/-9

1/v = 1/-18 + 1/9

= -1 + 2/-18

= 1/-18

v = -18cm

m = - (v/u)

= - (-9/-18)

= - ( 1/2 )

= -0.5

hi/ho = -0.5

hi/3 = -0.5

hi = -0.5 × 3

hi = - 1.5cm
