Answer:

1)In the same way, if the perimeter and the width are known, the length can be calculated using the formula: Length(L) = P/2 - w. Where P = perimeter of the rectangle; and w = width of the rectangle.

2)To find the width, multiply the length that you have been given by 2, and subtract the result from the perimeter. You now have the total length for the remaining 2 sides. This number divided by 2 is the width.

Answer:

2(length+breadth) = perimeter

2length + 2 breadth = perimeter

2 length = perimeter - 2 breadth

=> length = perimeter-2breadth / 2

now,

for breadth---->

2(length+breadth) = perimeter

2length + 2 breadth = perimeter

2 breadth = perimeter- 2 length

=> breadth= perimeter - 2 length /2
