1 If you take large amplitude sound source then you can hear sound almost every where directly from the source, and so you will not be able to distinguish the difference between reflected sound and direct sound. That's why we take small amplitude sound source.

2Advantage:

1.SONAR system is based on reflection of sound.

2.Sonography is also based on reflection of sound.

3.A musical instrument called as Jaltarang is also based on reflection of sound.

Disadvantage:

1. When sound get reflected for multiple times a phenomenon of reverberation is taken place.

2.Because of this, reflected sound get mixed up and a continuous sound of large loudness and less clearness is produced.

3 in order to reduce echo we must....

1. Panels should be placed on the walls of auditorium. As they absorb sound waves.

2. Heavy curtains should be put on windows so to absorb sound waves.

3. Carpet should be put on the floor to prevent repetition of sound.

4. Seats should be made up of fibres which absorb sound waves.

HOPE IT HELPS!!!!!............
