Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

To Find:-

Height of the Tower = ?

Width of the River = ?

Find;

Let "x" be the Width of the River.

& "h" be the Height of the Tower.

In ∆ ABC,

Tan 61° = AB/ BC

=> 1.8 = h/X

=> H = 1.8 * x_________(1).

Now,

In ∆ ABD,

Tan 35° = AB/BD

=> 0.7 = h / (50+X)

=> h = 0.7 × (50+X)_________(2).

Equating eq(1) & (2). We get,

1.8 * X = 0.7 × (50+X)

=> 1.8 * X / 0.7 = 50 + X

=> 2.5x = 50 + X

=> 1.5x = 50

=> X = 50/1.5 = 33.33m.

Putting X = 33.33 in eq(1).

H = 1.8 * 33.33

=> H = 60m.

Hence,

Height of Tower is 60m.

& Width of River is 33.33m.
