Answer:

  1. Plants and animals are the main source of food for all the organisms on earth. Food obtained from animals is the main source of protein and include fish, milk, meat, poultry, and cheese. Whereas plants provide us with fruits and vegetables, which are an important source of fibres, proteins and carbohydrates.
  2. Plants are the sources of food ingredients like grains, cereals, vegetables and fruits. Animals provide us with milk, meat products and eggs. Cows, goats and buffaloes are some common animals which give us milk.
  3. Some foods not from animal or plant sources include various edible fungi, especially mushrooms. Fungi and ambient bacteria are used in the preparation of fermented and pickled foods like leavened bread, alcoholic drinks, cheese, pickles, kombucha, and yogurt. Another example is blue-green algae such as Spirulina.

Explanation:

Food Sources

Sodium occurs naturally in most foods. The most common form of sodium is sodium chloride, which is table salt. Milk, beets, and celery also naturally contain sodium. Drinking water also contains sodium, but the amount depends on the source.
