Given :

 3(5x - 7) - 2(9x - 11) = 4(8x - 13) - 17

To Find :

Value of x

Solution :

 3(5x - 7) - 2(9x - 11) = 4(8x - 13) - 17

 15x - 21 - 18x + 22 = 32x - 52 - 17

 - 3x + 1 = 32x - 69

 1 + 69 = 32x + 3x

 70 = 35x

 x = \frac {70}{35}

 \therefore \fbox { x = 2}

Verification :

Put the value of x in equation.

 3(5x - 7) - 2(9x - 11) = 4(8x - 13) - 17

 3(5[2] - 7) - 2(9[2] - 11) = 4(8[2] - 13) - 17

 3(10 - 7) - 2(18 - 11) = 4(16 - 13) - 17

 3(3) - 2(7) = 4(3) - 17

 9 - 14 = 12 - 17

 - 5 = - 5

 \therefore Hence, Verified!

 \\

 \implies \fbox{ \textbf {Hence, the value of x is 2.}}
