Explanation:

We know that v = dx/dt

Therefore dx = vdt

Finding x under particular limits means, by integrating above expression implies finding the area under the curve or graph of  v(speed by x) and t (time) in those limits.

v)To find distance travelled between BC you need to find the area under the curve from B to C,

The plot in between those limits is a right-angled triangle of height(h)= 40

and base(b)= 20

Therefore it's area is 20 x 40 ÷2 = 400 (since area= 1/2 b x h)

Therefore the body travels a distance of 400 m in between B and C.

vi) Similarly Area under A to C is combination Of area under A to B(rectangle) and B to C(we have found above)

Therefore area is 20*40+400=1200

i.e the body travels a distance of 1200 m
