Answer: 40 m

Explanation :

U(1) = 72 km/h = 20 m/s

V = 0

S(1) = 10 m

V^2 - U(1)^2 = 2aS(1). ( 3rd eq. of motion)

=> a = (V^2 - U(1)^2)/ 2S(1)

=> a = -20m/s^2

U(2) = 144 km/h = 40m/s

V^2 - U(2)^2 = 2aS(2)

=> S(2) = -40^2/(2× -20) = 40 m ( Ans )

Here U stands fo initial velocity ,V stand for final velocity and S stands for displacement
