If it is completely divisible by 2x- 1, then 2x - 1 is a zero of the polynomial, so, 2x - 1 = 0

x = 1/ 2

Substitute x in the given polynomial and equating it to zero, we get,

((1 + a)/ 4) + (11 / 2 )+ a + 3 = 0

(35 / 4 ) + (5a/4) = 0

5a = - 35

a = - 7 is the required answer

2X-1=0

X=1/2

PUT THE VALUE OF X IN THE EQUATION

AND I WILL GET

2 + 1A/2 + 11/2 + A + 3 = 0

2 + 1A/2 + 11/2 + A + 3 = 0

TAKE LCM

4/2 + 1A/2 + 11/2 + A/2 + 6/2 = 0

21/2 + 2A/2 = 0

2A/2 = -21/2

A = -21/2
