2.Shifting cultivation also known as shifting cultivation, is type of farming in which people uses a land for a specific time or in a season cropping and leaves it after its use. British government banned it because people burn the land after cultivation and briyish thought that it would destroy their valuable timber so they banned. By shifting cultivation they could not collect taxes from the people who are following.they also thought I is waste of land resources.
