use formula,

n(A U BU C) = n(A) + n( B) + n( C) -n( AnB) - n( BnC) -n(CnA) + n( AnBnC)

here n(AUBUC) = total number of medals
n(A) =no of medals in football
n(B) = no of medals in basket ball
n(c) = no of medals in cricket
in the same way n(AnB) , n(BnC) , n(CnA)
are the no of medals in at least two game .

now,
58 = 38 + 15 + 20 -(n(AnB)+n(BnC)+n(CnA)} +3

58 = 58 + 18 -{n(AnB)+n(BnC)+n(CnA)}

n(AnB)+ n(BnC) + n(CnA) = 18 ( answer)
