We take 1 as a and 2 as b
Therefore:
(1) 17^2 - 8^2=a^2
289 - 64 = 225=a^2
Root 225 = 15 = a
(2) 10^2 - 8^2 = b^2
100-64=36=b^2
Root 36=6=b
X=(b+a)=(15+6)=21cm. Ans
