The points are collinear therefore they lie on the same line and hence their slope will be same .

Let (1,2) =(x1,y1) , (-1,x) =(x2,y2) , (2,3) =(x3,y3).

Equating the slope we get,

y2 - y1/ x2 - x1 = y3 - y2/x3 - x2

x - 2 / (-1) - 1 = 3 - x / 2 - (-1)

x -2 / -2 = 3 -x / 3

3x - 6 = 2x - 6

x = 6 - 6

x = 0

Answer : x = 0

I hope you get it ,

Thank you.
