The three R's given in a straight line are in Parallel, therefore, the resistance of that part is

\frac{1}{Rp}  = \frac{1}{R} + \frac{1}{R} +\frac{1}{R}

= \frac{3}{R}

Hence the resistance of that part = \frac{R}{3}

Now, the  left out resistances R and R are connected in series with the parallel part.,

Hence the net resistance is

R + \frac{R}{3} + R

Taking LCM as 3 we get

>> \frac{3R + R + 3R}{3}

>>\frac{7R}{3}

\boxed{\textsf{Hence\:resistance\:between\:A\:and\:B\:is{\frac{7R}{3}}}}

Which is OPTION A
