area of rectangle=lxb
=24x17
=408cm^2
area of square=SidexSide
=21x21
=441cm^2
hence area of square is more by 33cm

Area of the rectangle = l*b = 24*17= 408 sq. Cm
Area of the square= a*a= 21*21=441 sq.cm
Therefore area of the square is the the largest.
Difference between their areas = 441-408 =33sq. Cm
