(i) Shylock is in a street in Venice. Antonio is with him. Shylock said to Jailer that how foolish is he that he let Antonio out at his request.
(ii) The details of the bond is that if Antonio is unable to pay 3 Thousand Ducats in a stipulated period of 3 Months then Shylock would take the penalty by extracting a pound of flesh from Antonio's body.
(iii) Antonio agreed to the bond because he didn't have money to give to Bassanio so he took loan from Shylock. Antonio was confident as he said that his ships will return before 3 months.
(iv) Duke send this case to Dr.Bellario for consideration. Instead of Dr.Bellario ,Balthazar came.
Balthazar (Portia) saved Antonio by saying to Shylock that flesh should not exceed a pound and many other ways .

(v) Antonio had called him cut-throat dog , an unbeliever and spat on his Jewish gaberdine .
