Given that the digit at unit's place is x and the digit at ten's place is y.

The decimal expansion is 10x + y  ----- (1)

Reversed number is 10y + x  ------ (2)

Given that the 2-digit number and number obtained by reversing its digit is 121.

= > 10x + y + 10y + x = 121

= > 11x + 11y = 121

= > x + y = 11.


Therefore the linear equation is x + y = 11.
