Total force applied on the system=T

Total mass of the system=m1+m2+m3

Acceleration of the system

a=T/(m1+m2+m3)

Tension in the string between m2 and m3 will provide the same acceleration a in the combined mass m1+m2

So the required tension
=T(m1+m2) / (m1+m2+m3)
