1. Marvel was filled with terror as the invisible man was following him to get a hold of him and reclaim his possessions. Marvel knew that he was upset as Marvel had managed to escape his clutches. He was well aware that Griffin would hurt him badly as he was upset at being betrayed.
2. Marvel ran inside the Jolly Cricketers asking the people there to save him from the enraged invisible man who was bloodthirsty. He tried to hide behind the bar as the policeman and a bearded man there assured him that they would save him. Inspite of his warning them not to open the door and of the invisible man's evil intentions, Griffin managed to grab him and hit him. he was eventually saved as a scuffle broke out between the policeman and the invisible man.
3. The bearded man at the Jolly Cricketers fired five shots in the presumed direction of the invisible man. One of the shots met its mark and Griffin was injured.
4. Kemp noticed a stain of drying blood on the floor covering as he went for a drink of water to the kitchen. He then noticed blood on the doorknob of his own bedroom. His bedspread was smeared with blood and there was a depression as if someone had sat over there. The sheet too was torn.
5. Kemp saw his bedspread was smeared with blood. He got an eerie feeling as if someone sat over there.
6. The voice introduced himself as an Invisible Man. Dr.Kemp was not believing at first but then Griffin told him that they have known each other in the college.
7. The invisible man had been injured at the jolly cricketers. So he wanted help from someone and had unknowingly entered Kemp house. This was a blessing in disguise for the invisible man who had recognized Kemp as being his fellow student at the university. The actual name of invisible man was Griffin. He recognized Kemp from when they had been students together at university college in the pursuit of learning science.
