Question:-

  • who made the better sale between Saroj and Daksh.

Answer:-

  • Saroj made a better sale.

Solution for the correct answer:-

We can solve by two methods-

  • 1. In case of Saroj for Rs. 2500 he made a profit of 500 by selling it at a price of Rs. 3000.

For Rs. 1 his profit is = 500/2500

For Rs.100 it is = 500/2500×100

  • => 500/2500×100
  • => 500/25
  • => 20%

hence the profit Saroj made was 20%

  • And in of Daksh he bought it for Rs.12,000 and sold for Rs. 12,600

  • => 600/12000×100
  • =>60/12
  • =>5%

Daksh made a profit of 5%.

  • 2. If we apply formula we observe

Saroj: p%= P/CP×100

  • => 500/2500×100=20%

Daksh: P%= P/CP×100

  • => 600/12000×100=5%

thus saroj made more profit.
