Dear Student,

Solution to your asked query is provided below:
( I ) It's in Ncerr

(ii) The direction of magnetic field line can be given by the right-hand thumb rule. According to this rule, if we imagine the linear wire conductor to be held in the grip of the right hand so that the thumb points in the direction of a current, then the curvature of the fingers around the conductor will represent the direction of magnetic field lines.

If the current flows from Y to X in the straight conductor, then the direction of magnetic field lines will be anticlockwise and if the current flows from X to Y in the straight conductor, then the direction of magnetic field lines will be clockwise.

(iii) because magnetic field is directly proportional to current applied

here is your answer
1) it is given in ncert
2) rule used is right hand thumb rule
[if the thumb of our right hand is perpendicular to the other fingers of the same hand and thumb is in the direction of the current then we will close our palm and the of moving fingers towards the palm is the direction of the magnetic field
3) is directly proportional
