Given Equation is m + n = 240   ----- (1)

Given Equation is mn = 4199   ----- (2)

We know that (m - n) = √(m + n)^2 - 4mn

                                    = √(240)^2 - 4(4199)

                                    = √57600 - 16796

                                    = √40804

                                    = 202.

Now,

⇒ m - n = 202

⇒ m + n = 240

   ------------------

   2m = 442

      m = 221.

Substitute m = 221 in (1), we get

⇒ m + n = 240

⇒ 221 + n = 240

⇒ n = 19.

Therefore, the value of m = 221 and n = 19  (or) m = 19 and n = 221.

Hope this helps!
