Given AB = AC and BC = 9 cm and AD = 6 cm.

In  ΔABD,

⇒ BD = (1/2) BC

          = (1/2) * 9

          = 4.5

By Pythagoras theorem, we get

⇒ (AB) = √(BD)^2 + (AD)^2

            = √(4.5)^2 + (6)^2

            = √20.25 + 36

            = √56.25

            = 7.5 cm.

In ΔABC:

We know that Area of triangle = (1/2) * Base * height

                                                   = (1/2) * (BC) * (AD)

                                                   = (1/2) * 9 * 6

                                                   = 27 cm^2.

Also, Area = (1/2) * AB * CE

                 = (1/2) * (7.5) * CE

                 = 3.75 CE

Now,

On solving both equations, we get

⇒ 3.75 CE = 27

⇒ CE = 27/3.75

⇒ CE = 7.2 cm.

Therefore, the height from C to AB = 7.2 cm.   ----- Option(B)

Hope this helps!
