R/x+20=2/80-x

2/R=80-x/x+20....eq(2)

x/100-x=80-x/x+20

on solving both

x(x+20)=(100-x)(80-x)

x^2+20x=100*80-100x-80x+x^

20x+180x=100*80

x=100*80/200=40cm

now

2/R=x/100-x

2/R=x/100-40

R=2(60)/40

R=3ohm
