Given cost price of 4 oranges = 3 rupees.
Then the cost price of 1 orange = 3/4.
Given selling price of 3 oranges = 4 rupees.
Then the selling price of 1 orange = 4/3 rupees.
We know that Gain = Selling price - cost price
= 4/3 - 3/4
= 16-9/12
= 7/12.
We know that Gain% = (Gain * 100)/cost price
= (7/12 * 100)/3/4
= 700/9
= 77.77% (or) 77 7/9%.
