We know that SI = P*R*T/100

                       (5000 - 4000) = 4000 * R * 8/100

                              R = 3.125 (or) 25/8%.


Given that 2100 amount to 2800 rupees.

SI = PRT/100

2800 - 2100 = 2100 * T * 25/100 * 8

700 = 52500 * T/800

560000 = 52500 * T

T = 10.6 (or) 10 2/3 (or) 10 years 8 months.


Therefore the required time = 10 years 8 months.
