hey friends ☺

given - ABC and triangle DBC with same base BC.

prrove--ar(∆ABC)/ar(∆DBC =AO/DO

proofe we have ...

ar∆ABC=1/2 ×base ×height

ar∆ABC =1/2 ×BC ×AO ---------1)

and again in ∆DBC

ar ∆ DBC=1/2. × base ×height

ar∆DBC =1/2 ×BC ×DO-----------2)

now if we dividing the equation 1 and 2 we got .

ar ∆ABC /ar∆DBC =1/2 ×BC×AO/1/2 ×BC × DO

after cancelling all remaining is ..

ar∆ABC/ar∆DBC =AO/DO Prooved

hope it helps you !!
