  1. tilak should ask for four 40ohm resistance
  2. connect them in parallel

Explanation:

As tilak want 10ohm resistance but suman have 40 ohm resistance. he has to buy some resistance and connect them in parallel as in parallel combination the R equivalance is less.

when he connect 4resistance of 40ohm

1/Re = 1/40 + 1/40 + 1/40 + 1/40

Re =10 ohm
