Question 1

On comparing each linear equation with the standard form of linear equation in two variable ( i.e., ax + by + c = 0 ) , we get

☛ 7x - y = 5 { a1 = 7 , b1 = -1 , c1 = 5 }

and,

☛ 21x - 3y = 10 { a2 = 21 , b2 = -3 , c2 = 10 }

Here, We get to know that

a1/a2 = b1/b2 ≠ 1/2 which implies that the lines are parallel to each other and hence there are no solutions.

Question - 2

Similarly, Here we also compare each linear equation with the standard form of linear equation,

☛ 3x - 5y = 7 { a1 = 3 , b1 = -5, c1 = 7 }

and,

☛ -6x + 10y = 7 { Multiply both sides by -1 }

➜ 6x - 10y = -7 { a2 = 6 , b2 = - 10 , c2 = -7

Now,

a1/a2 = b1/b2 ≠ c1/c2 which implies that the lines are parallel to each other and hence there are no solutions satisfying these two linear equations.
