A) Length of garden is 20 m
Width is (5 +3) = 8 m

So area = 8*20 (c)

B) The are where it is planted is a triangle with
Base = 3 m.
Perpendicular = 20 - 16 = 4 m.

So, area = 1/2 * 3 *4 = 6 m^2

C) Area of rose = 1/2 * 16 * 8

= 64 m^2

Area of Tulasi = 1/2 * 5 * 20
= 50 m^2

So, difference in area = 64 - 50 = 14 m^2

D) There are many ways to do it.

Easiest is :

(Area of rectangle) -
(Sum of areas of tulasi, rose and marigold)

= 160 - 120 = 40 m^2
