a) What is the atomic number of this element ?

b) What is the maximum capacity of the outermost shell ?

c) What is the valency of the element ?

Answer :

a) Atomic number of this element is 17. (Chlorine)

b) Maximum capacity of the outermost shell is 8.

c) Valency = 8 - 7 = 1

So, the valency is 1.
