= > (5x + 4)/(7x + 4) = 3/4

= > 4(5x + 4) = 3(7x + 4)

= > 20x + 16 = 21x + 12

= > 20x = 21x - 4

= > -x = -4

= > x = 4.

Now,

(1) Present age of ramesh = 5x

= 5(4)

= 20.

(2) Present age of his elder brother = 7x

= 7(4)

= 28.
