At a party colas squash and fruit juice was offered to guests a fourth of the guests drank colas ,a third drank squash, two fifth of the drank fruit juice and just three did not drank any thing . how many guests were present in the party ?

Let the total no. of guests is x. Then x/4 guests drunk cola, x/3 guests drunk squash and 2x/5 guests drunk fruit juice.
Then by the given question, x-(x/4+x/3+2x/5)=3
or, x-(15x+20x+24x)/60=3
or, x-59x/60=3
or, (60x-59x)/60=3
or, x/60=3
or, x=60×3
or, x=180
