Life is not a bed of roses. Eveyone has to face some problems in his life. The person who overcomes all the obstacles in his path with determination turns out to be a successful person. This is the main theme that underlies the novel THE STORY OF MY LIFE.
Helen, a deaf and a blind girl, faced problems right from her childhood.She wanted to be like other children who could see, hear and speak. Sometimes her friends discouraged her but this did not deter her from her efforts.She worked hard and gained knowledge in all subjects with the help of Miss Anne Sullivan.Miss Sullivan was one person on whom she relied on and emerged as a successful personality.
