The capacity of the largest container that can measure the petrol of the three containers exact no. of times =HCF(187L,231L,275L)

Applying Euclid's algorithm to 187and 231, we get

231=187×1+44

187=44×4+11

44=11×4+0

clearly, HCF of 187&231is11.

Now, we find the HCF of 11 &275, we get. 275=11×25+0

clearly,HCF of 275&11 is11.

Hence, the required capacity of the largest container that can measure the petrol of the three tankers exact no. of times is 11L.
