\mathbb\bf\bf\underline\boxed{ANSWER:}

If we suppose that A(x1,y1) and B(x2,y2) are the two points whose distance is D . Then

\boxed{D=\sqrt{[x_1-x_2]^2+[y_1-y_2]^2}}}

Now putting ( a cos35, 0) for (x1,y1) and (0,a cos55) for (x2,y2) in the above expression

D =✓[a cos35 - 0]^2 + [O -a cos55]^2

D =✓[a^2 cos^2 35 + a^2 cos^2 55]

D = a✓[ cos^ 2 35 + cos^2 55]

D = a✓[cos^2 35 + sin^2 35]

Since cos 55 = cos (90–35) = sin 35

D = a \sqrt{1}

D = a

\boxed{THE \;\;ANSWER\;\; IS \;\;(B)}
