Step-by-step explanation:

f(x) = 2 {x}^{2}   + 16x + 5p

Given,

f( - 3) = 2 { ( - 3)}^{2}  + 16( - 3) + 5p = 50

Or,

 18 +( - 48) + 5p = 50

-30 + 5p = 50

5p = 50 + 30 = 80

p =  \frac{80}{5}  = 16

 \tt16x + 2 {x}^{2}  + 5p = 50

\tt{Putting~x~=~-3}

 \tt16  \times - 3 + 2 \times  { - 3}^{2}  + 5p = 50

 \tt - 48 + 2 \times 9 + 5p = 50

 \tt - 48 + 18 + 5p = 50

 \tt - 30 + 5p = 50

 \tt5p = 50 + 30

 \tt5p = 80

 \tt \: p =  \frac{80}{5}

 \rm \: p = 16

Hope it helps :)
