Solution:

1) let us consider the four numbers under the boxes are x, y, z, w.

2) Now we will form the equations according to the condition in the question:

x+y = 14-------------(i)

x+z = 15-------------(ii)

y+w = 16------------(iii)

z-w = 10------------(iv)

3) Add the equations (iii) and (iv) we  get y+z = 26.

4)Now add (i) and (ii) we get

• 2x+y+z = 29

• 2x+26 = 29

• 2x = 3

x = 3/2

5) x+y = 14

• 3/2+y = 14

• y = 14 - 3/2

y = 25/2

6)x+z = 15

• 3/2+z = 15

• z = 15 - 3/2

z = 27/2

7) z-w = 10

• 27/2 - 10 = w

w = 7/2

The numbers are 3/2, 25/2, 27/2 and 7/2.
