In ΔABD and ΔACD

AB = AC [given]

AD is common to both

and ∠BAD = ∠CAD   [AD bisects ∠A]

⇒ ΔABD≅ΔACD by SAS congruency

⇒∠ADB = ∠ADC (1)

Therefore angles opposite to equal sides AB and AC are equal
