Answer:

Effective Resistance is 3Ω

Explanation:

In PQRS, three 1Ω resistors are in series.

Req1 = 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 Ω

In STUR, three 2 Ω resistors are in series.

Req2 = ( 2 + 2 + 2) Ω = 6 Ω

Now, Req1 , Req2 and 2 Ω resistor are in parallel.

1 / Req = 1 / 3 + 1 / 6 + 1 / 2

1 / Req = (2 + 1 + 3) / 6

1 / Req = 6 / 6

or, Req = 1 Ω

Now, 1 Ω resistor, Req , 1Ω resistor form series combination.

So, Reffective = 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 Ω

Therefore, Effective Resistance is 3Ω

  • In PQRS, three 1Ω resistors are in series.

Req1 = 1 + 1 + 1 = 3 Ω

In STUR, three 2 Ω resistors are in series.

Req2 = ( 2 + 2 + 2) Ω = 6 Ω
