Answer:

40cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello user

Given that:

Area of rhombus is 96 m² if one of its diagonal is 16 m. Find its perimeter.

To find:

its perimeter

Solution:

Area of rhombus = ½×d1×d2

96 = ½×16×d2

96 = 8×d2

 \frac{9}{8}  = d2

12 = d2

A rhombus make 90° when it diagonals interset with each other.

So, the triangle AOD is right angled triangle the diagonal of the rhombus bisect each other.

Diagonal BD (longer one) = 16cm

Diagonal AC (shorter one) = 12cm

so,OD = ½×16 = 8cm

AO = ½×12 = 6cm

By Pythagoras theorem,

so,(AD)²=(DO)²+(AO)²

(AD)²=(8)²+(6)²

(AD)²=64+36

(AD)²=100

(AD)=√100

AD=10

Now,

Perimeter of rhombus= 4×side

= 4×10

= 40cm Ans.

Hope it's help you
