size of family plays a very important role in poverty as if your family income is fixed and suddenly there is a increase in no of member then the distribution of resources will be more in such situations someone may face difficultiy in completing his/her needs and thus it may lead to poverty in some time.

hello
well it is typical question to answer that it is about nowadays common to see the size of the family because today most of the people are having some jobs which in turn get them money . But unfortunately the money gained by them is not sufficient to feed thier families that is not In case of all but only the BPL people who afford ration shops and government support .
hence if the family size is small then it can manage the money and utilities the whole family to feed every single person .

hope this will help you.
thank you.
