let first angle = (2x-10)

second angle = (3x+20)

we know that straight line angle = 180°

(2x-10)+(3x+20)=180°

2x-10+3x+20=180°

(2x+3x)+(-10+20)=180°

5x+10=180°

5x=180°-10°

5x=170°

x=170°/5

x=34°

angle 1=2*34-10=58°

angle 2=3*34+20=122°

VERIFICATION:

put x=34°

(2x-10)+(3x+20)=180°

(2*34-10)+(3*34+20)=180°

58°+122°=180°

180°=180°

LHS=RHS

so x=34° satisfies the equation.
