Let passengers with Rs.5 is x.
Then, passengers with Rs.7.5 is 40-x

Given,
$5x +7.5 \times (40 - x) = 230 \\ 5x + 300 - 7.5x = 230 \\ 2.5x = 70 \\ x = 28$
