Answer:

1. Newton's second law of motion states that the force applied to the system is equal to the time rate of change of momentum.

So,    F=dtdP

But   P=mv

So,    F=dtd(mv)

Or   F=mdtdv

⟹ F=ma

2.Momentum The quantity of motion possessed by a moving body is known as momentum of the body. Momentum of an object of mass m moving with a velocity v is the product of it. It is denoted by p. p = mv. Its SI unit is kg-ms-1

3. According to the second law of motion, the change of momentum of an object also called force which is given by mass times acceleration. Momentum changes with the change in velocity whereas force changes with the change in acceleration. The longer a force is applied, the larger the momentum is.

4. The SI unit of force is the newton, symbol N.

Answer:

1) Newton's second law states that the acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force and inversely proportional to its mass.

Force= mass x acceleration

2) Momentum can be defined as product of mass and velocity of an object

Unit of momentum= kg m/s

3) Knowing the amount of force and length of time that force is applied to an object will tell you the resulting change in its momentum

4) SI unit of force= N ( Newton)
